    1. Anywhere there is even a small drop of water each day. Plants are a good indicator of ground water (not just at an oasis in the desert) dig and ye shall find ! although I am sure you know that.
I have seen lone trees with nothing but sand for miles, but there they are, quite happy with their own water supply.

    1. Thank you – this blue rock tends from grey, blue grey to blue. I am not sure what it is because it seems to pop up amongst the more abundant grey granite type stuff.

Also there is probably a slight shift due U/V light (6000ft)

        1. Thanks, sometimes I will use a Nikon L37c U/V filter and when using Kodak film a warm 81a or b.
Now with digital (when I use it) I have at long last set the W/B using a grey card and colour chart so just use the L37c.

  1. As usual the photgraph is excellent. And the scene even more so. I had been unaware of the beauty of Oman, so thanks for that.

    1. Even closer now, as last night was around -1 with some ice. Got away just in time, although short but heavy storms here in Muscat – still, can’t have everything.
