My camp site – Salut No2.

All mod cons.My camp site for the night – as you can see, I have all the comforts: spot the can !

The mound of rocks centre right; an early Iron Age burial tomb, so I had plenty of company for the night 🙂

    1. Ah, so reading further I see swags are not really lightweight like a similar-sized bivvie shelter/bag would be, but actually include a foam mattress. You’ll be taking AC next!
I’ve camped at -26C in 2m of snow, but I’m not so sure about in desert heat. I guess it encourages you to get up early…

      1. Ha well, that is the one good thing about these, they were made for Australian conditions of heat & bugs. It consists of an outer for when its cold or wet (even snow here on occasion) or dry and hot, the outer folds back leaving a bug net.
Far better than anything I ever found from UK (until they imported a few of these – at exorbitant rates; this one was imported direct from Australia) as for the A/C no 🙂 that would mean cutting down on the Guinness……..

        David.
