It’s an amazing place in that desert. I would have a field day picking up rocks and looking around at what’s on the ground. My Father & 2 brothers (who are in to Mining and Metallurgy) were always collecting, and surprisingly, I’m a bit the same. We can’t resist poking around to see what interesting fossil or rock might be around.
I know what you mean, if you could see some of the bits and bobs we have found, from fossilised tree to what I am almost certain is meteorite: I will need a very dispassionate mind when I leave here, otherwise best I hire a Jumbo 🙂
Beautiful
Thank you Ian,
It always looks good in this area during the winter months (although there is water all year)
David.
Amazing color. You managed to extract so much color out of that place. Love medium format photography.
Thanks,
Colour slide film has that something about it that is hard to better.
David.
Wonderful tones in the grasses!
Thanks Ehpem,
I seem to be doing a lot of posts in colour at the moment – a phase I am going through I am sure……..

Beautiful colours. Beautiful picture, David.
Thanks Bente,
I have been going through some of my 6×6 slides and thought it is about time they saw the light of day 🙂
David.
Beautiful! You have such striking contrasts there of color and desert rock.
Thanks,
Yes the place is a geologists paradise.
David.
