Very true – there is certainly historical documentation about some of the great explorers making their way here.
The description from Colonel S.B.Miles’ narratives intrigued me, I had to find the place and the first visit was using an old military ordinance survey map & compass (no GPS at the time) took me three attempts. The village names had English transliterations that were rather imaginative, not to mention ‘position approximate’ 🙂
All good fun.
Oooh yes perfect! Can we add to the ‘grand tour’ list? Along with a pot of lush camp stew and wine *eye dart* 🙂
I am sure we can add it to the list – this is looking like you needs be here for a long trip 🙂

And contemplate those who have camped there before, over the millenniums.
