Ah, the despised 43-86mm. I actually had a good one and tried copy after copy to get another to no avail.
Considering that it was almost ‘slide rule’ computations at the time this was designed. Nikon is absolutely right in it being quite an achievement.
It is so well built and has all the right markings D-of-F scale for one!
I was determine that it would not go unused, it came with a Nikon FM2n that I couldn’t resist.
