The days of innocence and fun. Then again there was the Vietnam war (remembering the French with ‘Bataille de Diên Biên Phu’ being ignored by America / UK / Australia, et al.) the shadow of the The Bay of Pigs invasion, The Cuban Missile crisis and J.F.K assassinated, not forgetting a positive “one small step for man….”, and the present generation think they’re badly done by.
I don’t think so.
……I can see by your coat, my friend you’re from the other side
There’s just one thing I got to know
Can you tell me please who won?
Say can I have some of your purple berries?
Yes, I’ve been eating them
For six or seven weeks now haven’t got sick once
Probably keep us both alive……
“purple berries” (potassium iodine pills) taken prior to radiation exposure and help counter the effects of radioactive iodine on the thyroid.
Happy days.
Well said, David…
Thank you Marina, one of my moments of frustration with what I see, hear and read these days.
Yes, well… you’re not alone! 😉
It’s nice to know some of us are still grounded and not living in the ‘three monkeys world’.
A ha ha… yes!!!!!!!!! 😉
Great music never goes old, only gets better with age
My problem is that I keep coming across music that I missed when it first got performed. My collection keeps growing, but at least I can download a lot now and only buy the vinyl or CD copies I really like. A bit like books, my shelves are rather full but I always like a physical copy of my favourites, so more space has to be found as a priority.
Enjoy your week David and your music!
That CSN album was the second album I bought when I got out of the service. That was a long time ago but it still sounds great today.
Some excellent tracks on all their albums. Finding good remastered versions is rather difficult though, very few can sound better than the original vinyl.
