Thank you Helen,
the advantage of film – Tri-x old style was perfect for this sort of image (like a lot of my films in the freezer, running low) Tmax 400 is a favourite but the grain is not so pronounced..
Thank you – It is a place that I visit occasionally and only in the winter months: a lot of preparation and planing otherwise ….. well you can imagine!
Worth it though because on a clear night the stars are stupendous.
Oh yes I like these very much.. the graininess suits the desert very much indeed..

Wonderful photos. Thanks.
Thank you for those kind words.
David.
Fascinating sculptural landscape and very effective use of grain to match the subject.
Thanks Louis,
Tri-x at box speed in D76 1+1 then Selenium toned the negatives for some slight intensification.

Terrific!
Glad you liked them, it is a place that lives up to its reputation – a vast hardly explored wilderness.
David.

Gorgeous. The graininess is perfect for sand formations!
Thanks,
Good old style Tri-X……

Beautiful desert-photos, David!
Thank you – nothing quite like it when one is probably the first in many many years to disturb the sand.
