Abandoned Village at Bahla.

Bahla abandoned No3a

Bahla abandoned colour

Bahla abandoned No4Nikon D800, Tokina 35-70 f2.8 AIs AT-X.

These made during my visit to the fort, after checking that it was open !

The village is part of the oasis of old Bahla, it developed alongside the fort and utilised the same water supply; it was also within the forts outer walls.

    1. Very busy, noisy and lots of dark corners (we are talking about Bahla 😉 ) but yes I think Yemen is one of the only places that one could really see this type of place now. Unfortunately Yemen is not a place I would go; to my great regret it is not the safest place in the world.

  1. Nice series of photos David. You have done a great job on getting the exposure just right. Not easy with the extremes of light in the first two photos.

    1. Thank you Laura,
No, I just get slow sometimes, (holidays are the time when I do switch off, a month with no computer) and if I avoid the TV – bliss.
