You mentioned how we all see our image of the world in subtly different ways; I have always been fascinated by that conundrum.
For example; I tend to first see the image as a B&W representation and then allow the distraction of colour to intrude. Its just the way I picture the world when I have a camera in my hand.
As a matter of interest, you may like this interview of Sally Mann by Charlie Rose (such an empathic interviewer – a nice contrast from the more aggressive or denigrating type) she touches on how she sees the world as if through an 8×10 image.
