Splendid wood! Quite as gnarled as the jebel itself. Exquisite detail. Must be stunning in the original. Liked the villages too…especially #3 village huddled beneath crest and fields hacked out down near where water might run. And agree totally ‘because its there’.
It is and always a temptation to take it home – problem is I have enough bits of wood, pot shards and rock that my house is beginning to look like I am one of those Victorian collectors 🙂
Cor do I relate…landlord replaced simple 1930s ironwork, a pair, one from each side of front door. I HAD TO HAVE THEM! Big, heavy and hardly a square inch of wall anywhere. He thought I was mad….but I HAD TO HAVE THEM! PS he replaced with exact replica TG. PPS I found the bird.
