It’s tucked away in a blind wadi (one that ends in a sheer rock face) that doesn’t attract much attention. Which is like a ‘red rag to a bull’ for me.
On an old 1960’s topographical map, it shows a path going upto Jebel Akhdar which can still be follow for about a mile or so. The path now ends with a precipitous climb; but with some indication that there must have been steps at one time. Some rock-art seems to indicate that it was used several hundred years ago.
