Some of these buildings and villages have a very long history.
And yet still strangely beautiful.
Yes, some how it is; the beauty of an old object is almost serene.
Very true, although sometimes I feel quite sad when I see on old tree. That’s probably because so few trees have survived American ‘manifest destiny’ in my area, and seeing old-growth trees serves as a reminder of the great forests that once blanketed my area.
A quote that I cannot attribute but is maybe Cree.
“When the last tree has been cut down, the last fish caught, the last river poisoned, only then will we realize that one cannot eat money”
Unfortunately there is truth to that quote.
