Old Cup – reprint.
Jebel Harim – Grindstone.
There are several abandoned or semi-abandoned villages in the mountains around Khasab: a large town in the Musandam peninsula.
Many happy hours exploring the area and finding such things as this old grindstone.
Reprint from a few years back: this time on Ilford M/G IV gloss – T-max 400 in D76 1+1.
Boat with nets.
Jebel Village No4.
A Basket of Omani Dates.
Nikon F4, 24mm f2.8 AFd with T-max 400 @ 320.
I have a terrible weakness for dates 🙂 (not the horrible dried shrivelled things I see in UK)
They are very nutritious and a general maxim here in Oman is that; if there is nothing else available, one can live on just dates and water for a very long time.
Yemeni Style Jebel House.
Jebel Village with early morning sun.
Old fishing nets – Masirah No2.
Jebel Misht.
Jebel Misht (out of the mist).
Jebel Misht rises to over 2,000m, it is one of Oman’s ‘exotics’; an outcrop of rock that is unrelated to the rocks surrounding it and is probably the country’s finest rock climbing venue. First climbed by a French team led by Raymond Renaud in 1979, this was the first major rock route in Oman and still attracts many climbers trying to forge new routes.
