Thanks Louis,
I am still a novice when it comes to digital colour – always used film until this year: chemicals no longer available here in Oman so needs must.
Histograms, colour-space and white balance hummmm…….. but I am beginning to enjoy it now.
So your comments are very much appreciated.
David.
P.s as I said in another post – beating it into submission!
Very nice David. I too love that colour. And the framing works well too. I really like the second photo too, with the small counterweight or whatever it is showing too.
Thanks Ehpem,
I am not sure what the ‘counterweight’ as you put it is ….?
Unfortunately both sets of scales were in a very bad state, so was not able to figure out what the little disc was for.
Beautiful work David! Composition, colours and textures- everything in tune. Congrats
Ha, thank you; an inspirational day – don’t get them very often 🙂
David.
La composiciĂłn me encanta y los colores, mi preferida la primera, desprende luz, abrazos

A fascinating and ideal subject beautifully captured. The colour contrast is very effective.

Beautiful tones and composition. A worthy subject.
Thank you for those kind words Karen,
(I was pleased with the results – especially after the trouble I had colour calibrating the new graphics card)

It is surprising what can be found in some of the abandoned villages here in Oman.

A photographer’s dream I shouldn’t wonder!
The artistic result is exquisite! The touch of blue against the wall is just beautiful! For a moment I thought I saw a globe [in the first one!]
Thanks Marina,
I am having fun with colour – especially after working in B & W for rather a long time.
Making that D200 earn its keep.
David.
Both shots are wonderful but I especially love the 2nd one. Well done.
