Fabuloso, especially that slanted slice of sunlight on the floor and such a marvellous progression into the distance. Dare I say there’s something almost prurient in photos such as these – a slight hint that perhaps you should NOT look through the window – in case it’s a bedroom! Yes UK was fab, despite g-awful cold and lousy weather. We did every ancient site and country house art collection we could plus London for Magna Carta and National Portrait Gallery ogling the Plantagenets and Tudors…we did Sargent exhib’n too but far less awe inspiring.
Thanks,
It is one of those images that I have already put on one side for playing with – different interpretations seem to evoke different thoughts.
Ha Sargent, humm yes he is not one of my favourite artists as I find his work rather stilted; then again maybe because most were formal commissions I think.
The one I really do like is ‘Cashmere’ probably because he was on his own ground so to speak and was it Rose-Marie or Reine Ormond or both.
I love this shot! It reminded me of a photo somewhat like it that I shot in 2008 from the rock remains of an old lookout cabin: https://flic.kr/p/55ApvZ
Oh! It”s beautiful and so unexpected.
One of my rare early morning adventures 🙂
Was determined to get there and after my trip to Misfat it seemed a good opportunity.
On your list……
