I continue to be fascinated by the photos that you post. They show a length of history that I don’t see in the relatively new culture here and I have so much respect for the people who created those old structures and places. I continually wish that I could have been there in those times to see them.
It certainly has an interesting history: helped by them being a seafaring people. The Persians had the most influence when is came to building and water conservation. Although more Bronze & Iron age structures are being discovered; Salut (click the link) probably being the most important if the present excavations are anything to go by.
