    1. It was a village called Ghaihain or at least that was what it was called by the geological survey of 1925 and before that Lieutenant Frederick Fraser Hunter’s map of 1908.
      It had extensive date groves and a plentiful supply of water. That explains the fort; protection from nearby tribes who would raid and pillage.
