The picture in the book must have been very compelling. Your image must have been the result of hours of walking to find the right spot and then waiting for the perfect moment. Beautifully captured.
During my time in Oman, I travelled the length & breadth of the country, either Land rover or foot.
Spent a lot of time following routes from Royal Geographic reports by early explorers, mostly from the 1800’s upto about the 1930’s.
My vehicle was equipped with photo gear, walking boots, tent, water, dried food packs & Guinness 🙂
Could always stop out for an impromptu overnight camp while on my travels.
It does appear that you were well prepared, especially with the Guinness. Cheers!
